Custom Pet Portaits

How It Works

from choosing what kind of portrait to having it in your hands

Placing Your Order

the back of a woman's head as she adjusts a painting on a white wall full of handpainted watercolor pet portraits. There are 5 dog paintings, 1 cat painting and a painting of three glass bottles.

Choose your portrait

Do you prefer a classic portrait of just your pet, or would you like to add a twist with one of my specialty portraits?

Choose a Size

Choose from 3 standard sizes, or reach out to me to request a custom size. Some specialty portraits are only available in larger sizes.

Small

15 x 15 cms (6 x 6 in)

This compact square size is perfect for small spaces, desks, shelves, or gift boxes.

Medium

18 x 26 cm (7 x 10.2 in)

Striking the perfect balance, not too big, not too small, fits beautifully on a gallery wall, desk, shelf, or entryway.

Large

31 x 41 cm (12.2 x 16.1 in)

Perfect for making a striking statement on a gallery wall or as a centerpiece in any room. Ideal for showcasing fine details.

Optional Framing

I offer this optional service in case you wish to receive your painting ready to hang and because I know it can be hard to find high-quality frames in the right size.

I work with local Barcelona framer FIOL. Each frame is custom made to order for your painting with high quality materials.

Frames are wooden, 1.5 cm wide and without matting.

The framing service adds up to an additional two weeks to ship.

Glass

Regular

This glass is your standard glass. It will protect your portrait from dirt and humidity, but it does not have anti-reflection or anti-UV properties. It is more economically priced.

Museum

This glass has anti-reflection properties, like seeing through a polarized lens, which in effect makes it invisible. You will be able to see your portrait from any angle without reflections. It also protects against UV damage.

After you've placed your order

It's time to collect photos!

After you purchase a painting, I will ask you to send me 3-5 high quality photos of your pet (checkout the reference photo tips).

From there I will recommend which photo would make the best painting. We will also discuss any preferences you have for background colors, and any extras you may have ordered.

During the Painting

When it's your turn on the waitlist, I will begin your painting.

If you would like, I can send you progress pictures and videos during the painting process.

Once started, paintings usually take me 1 to 10 days to complete depending on the size and complexity.

After Completion

If you ordered a frame, I will bring your painting to my framing partners.

Once your frame is finished or if you didn't order a frame, I pack your painting in protective, acid-free materials so it stays safe during delivery.

I will mail the package with a tracking number to the address you provide.

If you live in Barcelona and want to avoid shipping costs, we can arrange a time and date for you to come pick your painting up from the Poblenou area.
