How does it work?
After You Order
After you purchase a painting, I will ask you to send me 3-5 high quality photos of your pet (checkout my reference photo tips to learn what I mean by high quality).
From there I will recommend which photo would make the best painting. We will also discuss any preferences you have for background colors, and any extras you may have ordered.
During the Painting
When its your turn on the waitlist, I will begin your painting.
If you would like, I can send you progress pictures and videos during the painting process.
Paintings usually take me from 1 day to 1 week to complete depending on the size and complexity.
Framing (optional)
If you ordered a frame, I will bring your painting to local Barcelona framer FIOL to get a custom frame built.
Their turn around time is usually 1 - 2 weeks.
After Completion
I pack up the painting in protective, acid-free materials so it stays safe during delivery.
I will mail the package with a tracking number to the address you provide.
If you live in Barcelona and want to avoid shipping costs, we can arrange a time and date for you to come pick it up from the Poblenou area.

What are extras?
Would you like your dog painted on your (or their!) favorite food, in a cocktail glass, or with their favorite toy?
That's where extras come in!
The base price includes one pet with your choice of a white, solid color, or soft gradient background.
Medium and large paintings can accommodate up to one or two (respectively) additional pets, items, or an alternative background for a supplement.
If you want this add-on, choose the amount of extras you would like when selecting your painting options.

Can I have a different background?
All basic custom portraits include your choice of a white, solid color, or soft gradient background.
Medium and large paintings can be made with a different background such as a landscape or pattern.
If you would like a different background, make sure you add an "Extra" when choosing your painting options.
How do I care for my painting?
To maintain the beauty and integrity of your painting, treat it with care.
These paintings are made with watercolor pigments and therefore will run if they come in contact with water. Keep away from humidity.
For longevity and to prevent fading, avoid displaying in direct or bright sunlight. Proper framing and anti-UV glass will help preserve it.
What materials do you use?
I use premium professional-grade art materials for lasting quality and beautiful detail.
- Arches 300gsm 100% cotton, acid-free, cold press watercolor paper
- Winsor & Newton professional-grade watercolor paints
Do you offer other sizes?
I offer 3 sizes:
- Small - 15 x 15 cm (6 x 6 in)
- Medium - 18 x 26 cm (approximately 7 x 10 inches)
- Large - 31 x 41 cm (approximately 12.2 x 16.1 inches)

Do you do other commissions?
Yes! I am open to any commission ideas you may have.
For ex: food/menus, buildings, fashion, memorabilia, special places, vehicles, plants, anything you can imagine!
I reserve the right to refuse a commission if I believe I will not be able to produce it to a professional level.
Frames
Do I have to buy a frame?
Nope! It is completely optional.
I offer this service in case you wish to receive your painting already ready to hang and because I know it can be hard to find high-quality frames in the right size.
My local framing partnerFIOL makes each frame made to order for the specific painting at hand, so you can rest assured it is of the highest quality.
Who makes the frames?
I work with local Barcelona framer FIOL. They custom make each frame and are some of the best in the business.
Each frame comes with a 5 year guarantee.
How long does it take?
The turn around time for a custom frame is usually 1 - 2 weeks.
This can vary during high-traffic times like the holiday season.
frame options
You can choose from a black, dark wood, or light wood frame.
It is 2 centimeters wide with no matting.
glass options
You can choose between regular and anti-UV glass.
The regular glass is as the name suggests - a basic framing glass. It will protect your portrait from dirt and humidity, but it does not have anti-reflection or anti-UV properties.
The anti-UV glass is a museum grade anti-reflection glass which blocks UV rays. This is important if your painting will be displayed in a bright spot to avoid fading. The anti-reflection properties also means that your frame won't have any glare when you look at it.
Orders
When will I get my order?
I usually have a couple of months waitlist for custom paintings. You will always see the current timing on the checkout page before you place your order.
If you have an urgent deadline like a celebration, reach out and ask me about it because I might be able to squeeze it in. No promises though!
Ready made products like non-custom cards and prints will ship immediately.
Keep in mind that if you order a frame, it will take up to an additional two weeks to ship.
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
What are the delivery options?
I offer two delivery options.
Shipping:
I will mail your products with a tracking number to the address you provide.
No Shipping:
If you are in Barcelona and would like to save on shipping costs. We can arrange a time and date for you to come pick up your products in the Poblenou area.
Do you offer gift packaging?
Yes, and it's free!
I offer simple gift packaging with the option to add a hand written gift note.
Please send me what you would like written on the card.
What is the return policy?
While I am unable to accept returns on custom commissions, my goal is for everyone to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let me know and I'll do my best to work with you to make it right.
Where are your products made?
All paintings are handmade by me personally usually in Barcelona, Spain. But if I am traveling, your painting may be painted elsewhere! :)
I always choose local small businesses to provide any extra services needed for your products.
Frames are custom made by FIOL.
Art scanning and fine art quality prints are done by Impressionart.
I use a variety of local printers to produce cards depending on what I need. These include Bramona and La Peiper.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
If you are ordering from the USA, tariffs are included in the shipping cost.
